Happy Sunday! This morning I only hit snooze a couple times before getting out of bed and heading to the gym. I look forward to the gym on Sunday because it’s a ghost town! It’s never super crowded in the morning when I go during the week but on Sunday there’s only about 10 people total.
I started off with 10 minutes on the treadmill to warm up before heading to the GroupX room to complete the tabata workout I had planned. I slightly altered this workout from Jess and it left my legs shaking! I tabata’d each of the following moves:
1. 180* squat jumps
2. Left leg reverse lunge with kick
3. Right leg reverse lunge with kick
4. Lower body jacks
5. Pulse squat jumps
Those lower body jacks had me sweating!! I followed up my tabata workout with some ab work followed by 15 more minutes on the treadmill and some good stretching.
I’ve noticed that Texas has way more donut shops than Colorado and seeing so many on my drive home had me craving a carby breakfast! I quickly whipped together some pancakes topped with a bit of butter and maple syrup. I haven’t had a carb based breakfast in quite some time and these were delicious!
